Review of Where in the World Is Osama Bin Laden? (2008) by Redmond F — 19 May 2008
It was OK... I wish I could say it was better than that because I love Morgan Spurlock but it just wasn't. I didn't really understand way the video game format was used to move us through the line of argument... it was actually kind of distracting. I realize he was tackling a very complex set of issues but the whole thing seemed to lack focus and the improv that I loved so much in Super Size Me came across as planned and rehearsed. Pretty disappointing but not all bad. His interviews were great and I really like the personal touch of including the birth of his first child.
Maybe in his next film he'll find the balance of information and humour again.
