Review of Where in the World Is Osama Bin Laden? (2008) by Koeman L — 14 Jan 2009
Morgan Spurlock's second documentary is great because it comes from the school of Moore, but Spurlock actually manages to come off as a real person. No real side is taken and what is provided is a colorful portrait of people in many different lands, almost all of whom seem to be only concerned in the safety and well being of themselves and their families.
Network news' attempts at tear-jerking pieces normally fall short in that department. I'd consider Spurlock's film a success just for its painting of people who most haven;t seen outside of news blurbs.
