Review of Where in the World Is Osama Bin Laden? (2008) by Nathan H — 21 Jan 2009
Spurlock's latest film maintains the humor and good nature of "Super-Size Me," but ups the ante by sending Spurlock across the globe on a quest to find Bin Laden. The budget also appears substantially larger, with constant CGI graphics and ADD-friendly bells and whistles.
This was an interesting film, but despite all of the interesting visual upgrades, I prefered the intimacy of "Super-Size Me." I also think that Spurlock's first film was a more important movie, as this entry doesn't quite add to the exhaustive canon of Middle East documentaries lining the Blockbuster shelves. A nice movie, but pass-able.
