Review of Where Hope Grows (2014) by Kelley M — 22 May 2015
I absolutely loved this movie. I was very moved by David DeSanctis' performance, and by how well his character was written., with complex relationships and the same emotions and frustrations we all feel.
I think this movie shows how we are more alike than different, and people with Down syndrome contribute greatly to their communities. I also liked the complex relationships between families and friends, and that when you feel broken, there is always hope.
This is not a trite or fluffy film, it deals with a lot of tough issues that hit very close to home. I feel it has a lot to offer everyone who goes to see it.
