Excellent story showing the best of humanity and the worst of humanity and the struggle facing one ex ballplayer who lost his job and is struggling with alcoholism . Then he meets a young man, who lost his mother, who faces discrimination in his job due to having down syndrome, but hes still overflowing with optimism . They teach other what it means to navigate life on your own terms . I have read other reviews here which have criticized this movie as heavy handed religious. Not true . The young man happens to go to church and carry a bible , in his life experience , is that unusual ? Denzel Washington did an entire movie " The Book of Eli" carrying a bible !
Did anyone call that heavy handed ?
