Review of Where Eagles Dare (1968) by Marc F — 06 Aug 2012
A stone cold classic in the boys own action adventure mould, with Burton and Eastwood on top form, with an eclectic supporting cast. Featuring more twists, turns crosses and double crosses than is strictly necessary but then you wouldn't expect anything less from Alistair MacLean and to be perfectly honest this just adds the the excitement of the piece, keeping you guessing right to the end and easily re-watchable because you will always find something new upon each viewing.
