A new comprehensive documentary of The Doors rise and fall, narrated by Johnny Depp. The archival footage, taken from various shows in their career and footage from a movie Morrison was filming when he died, is fascinating.
However, the narration is pompous,all trying to pump Morrison full of pathos and mystique, when in reality he was just a spoiled pretentious wannabe poet. And,let's face it, without Morrison (who DID have charisma), The Doors had all the skill and charm of a bar mitzvah band,as their 2 releases sans Morrison prove.
