Review of When Time Ran Out... (1980) by Martin B — 30 Apr 2012
Ah, disaster movie ahead again.
Here we have Vulcano-horror of 1980 with Paul Newman. The island of Hawaii (or someother island, we're never reallly told which one) is under attack by an evil vulcano that melts down and kills everyone in sight.
The survivors of the initial attack are gathered at a luxury hotel and they split up into two groups. One led by an idiot that stays put and one other led by Paul Newman that tries to outrun the rivers of lava. After a long classic build-up is the movie tranceding into an exact replica of "Poseidon". But on shore instead of a cruiser.
As critics at the time did decscribe it "When ideas ran out", but still a must for disaster movie-aficionados.
