Review of When the Lights Went Out (2012) by Mark T — 27 Jan 2013
Mildly entertaining British horror about an apparant true haunting on a council estate in the early 70s. Never manages to be remotely scary, is poorly paced at times. and the use of cgi is the cheapest I have seen, and looks ridiculous, but the film has a certain degree of intrigue for wannabe paranormal believers.
Great attention to the style of the times. In fact it almost feels like a product placement ad for stuff from the 70s.
