Who are these critics and what is the purpose of their reviews? I assumed the title "movie critic" would give them some kind of credibility as "professional movie watchers". I also assume, as professionals, they would have an opinion the public can trust. My idea would be that they can determine whether or not we, the public, will enjoy a particular film. I will say that I haven't seen a movie the critics gave a good rating that I didn't enjoy.

I enjoyed this movie. I didn't give it five stars but I definitely think it was worth my time. I almost didn't see it because of the horrible 18% critic review it carries.

I don't get a lot of time to watch a lot movies and I really don't think anyone should have that kind of time. Critics' reviews should help audiences determine whether or not a movie is likable and what audiences should expect in order to make their time investment worth while. 18% almost suggests no one at any moment or mood will like this film. Critics dropped the ball on this one.
