Review of When the Game Stands Tall (2014) by Deidra Q — 22 Aug 2014
"When the Game Stands Tall" is a movie about growing up. The coach in the movie teaches the players about life lessons that effect the boy long after they graduate. The boys learn about how to be men, how to be honorable, and how to give back to your community.
Coach Bob that "nobody expects you to be perfect, all we ask is a perfect effort every play." When the team loses a game after their 151 games streak, everyone on the team has to refocus and realize what's truly important.
The boys learn that there is more to life than football, but rather who your playing football with and for. Overall, this movie was a truly inspiring family movie. There were 2 or 3 parts that may be a little too intense for smaller children, but it's still a very enjoyable movie watch with your family.
I most gladly give When The Game Stands Tall 5 golden stars!
