Review of When Nietzsche Wept (2007) by Alice Y — 12 Sep 2008
I really enjoyed this movie very much. True, the characters' motivations and actions are very explicit, and even verbally explained by the characters themselves. Though this takes away from mystery and art of allusion- at the same time, the theories are very well presented.
This is not a movie that makes you theorize; it is a movie that presents you with the theories, allowing you to reflect on them with the character's life and... your own life. In the end, you may agree or disagree with what is laid forth.
.. the foundation of psychoanalysis.
