Review of When in Rome (2010) by Bryant H — 21 Oct 2010
Let me say When In Rome was one of the best films I've seen this year; more specifically one of the closest to perfect I've seen in the Romantic-Comedy genre. This film was great; the values and morals were good; even so much as not mentioning, at least to my recollection, sex outside of marriage, and all the relationships in the film were placed in the context of marriage, or at least that was the goal; if you really love someone: you get married.
One of the aspects that made this film so strong for me too, is it worked on all the levels that it should; but had such incredible messages and metaphors about gender psychology and such. It was great.
This movie was also very funny, quirky, endearing, cute, romantic; you name it. There also was almost to nothing inappropriate with this picture; how encouraging is that to be able to recommend to someone such a film? I'll tell ya; very.
