Review of When in Rome (2010) by Gading G — 23 Aug 2010
I think Kristen Bell is a talented actress, but you wouldnâ??t know it from her filmography. For those of you familiar with Veronica Mars (yeah, didnâ??t think so), sheâ??s more than capable of delivering quick, witty dialogue.
Forgetting Sarah Marshall was wise to utilize her as a future version of herself (an actress working on a crime-solving sitcom). Unfortunately sheâ??s been type-casted in movies since as, â??The girl.
â?? Ya know, the one with nothing to do but smile and get the guy in the end. Now, behind the cameras we have Mark Steven Johnson. Heâ??s the one whoâ??s failed at giving us Daredevil and Ghost Rider, so heâ??s trying his hand at chick flicks now.
If youâ??ve seen the premise, itâ??s pretty ridiculous but thereâ??s a talented cast here and everyone gives it their best. That means jack and shit though when theyâ??re stuck with this script, which I wouldnâ??t even wipe my ass with.
Thereâ??s a few good moments but it doesnâ??t amount to much. So Iâ??ll say if you dig any of the cast then give this flick a shot. If you donâ??t have a vagina, thereâ??s not much here for you.
