Starting with "When in Rome's" opening sequence, you immediately know that you are in for a long and painful ride. This is a terrible film with so many flaws that you can't help wonder why these actors would sign on for this train wreck.

First there's Kristen Bell who is likable enough but is in no way prepared to lead a motion picture. She stumbles through her performance with cheesy delivery after cheesy delivery. Duhamel is no better.

A contributing factor to the terrible performances could be the even more horrific story. This is one of the more poorly written scripts I have witnessed featuring retreaded story angles, dimwitted slapstick, and extrememly predictable conclusions.

The attempts at humor are so poorly done that I found myself reciting the punchlines before they developed. There was one (count them, one) scene that I found mildly amusing throughout the entire picture.

The rest is simply awful. Stunningly bad direction, low budget sitcom acting, and an appalling script gives "When in Rome" the dubious honor of being mentioned as one of the worst films of 2010.

Skip this stinker.
