This might be my favorite romantic comedy. Once you get past the perceptive and seminal brilliance of the hilarious and touching screenplay, you come to appreciate the truly amazing chemistry between Crystal and Ryan, chemistry we don't really see anymore.
Supporting performances by Carrie Fisher and Bruno Kirby are also pitch-perfect. I'll go further: Meg Ryan deserved an Oscar. Just amazing.
