This movie speaks a great message that not very many Hollywood movies have addressed. Instead of playing out like a typical romantic comedy where the male meets the female and fall in love, ultimately ending in their true love conquering their hardships, this movie exploits the troubles of relationships.

And rather then have a story we've all seen, "When Harry Net Sally" creates a classic new one to be remembered for years. Sometimes the person(of opposite sex), you spend the most time with(12 years in this movie) turns out to be your true love, when you learn the times you spent together WERE those dates couples so stereotypically talk about having.

Frequently in this film, we'll see old couples talking to the "camera" at what a great relationship they have. Then afterward it cuts to Harry and Sally, who's love life is non-existent until they realize it at the very end.

It's a very compelling movie, and realistic to. Billy Crystal's humor fits perfectly with his character, who is secretly depressed though he denies it. And Meg Ryan is the perfect actress to play the always good looking female in romantic comedies.

The two go hand in hand, and the ending is quite touching, even for a movie of this genre. At the end, there is a particular line that Crystal delivered, point out he how he nevr knew the true meaning of the song, "Auld Lang Syne.

" The two realize that both never did their whole life, but what the hell, should just let it slide-just like their linking up together at the end, finally goes. Probably one of the best uses of that song, "Auld Lang Syne," which wraps it up quite well, literally being the meaning of the movie.

This is a good movie I would recommend to people who've seen and enjoyed such movies as "Annie Hall," or "Breakfast at Tiffany's.".
