"When a Man Loves a Woman" made me love Andy Garcia a little bit. This movie doesn't romanticize the pressure that alcoholism can put on a marriage and the whole family, but it doesn't exaggerate it either.
This is that rare film that seems to be telling an honest, emotional story and not merely attempting to strike the "right" chords to manipulate the audience's emotions.
