Review of Wheel of Time (2003) by Michael M — 20 Dec 2009
Werner Herzog hangs out with the Dalai Lama over the weekend at their uncle Bernies when.....
Werner Herzog talks to the Dalai Lama for a bit. And then wanders around a festival (or two). Not much talking in this movie, but Herzog is able to do something that's pretty hard. Hide and make like you're actually there watching all of this.
And I'm sure glad that Robert Jordan was able to get someone to finish this movie for him after he died. Although it wasn't very faithful to the books.
I guess the question now is what is it about Buddhism that westerns like to fetishize?
I won't give away the twist ending. (they show full penetration) So it turns out that you can kill them with water. But their all figments of your dead best friend's autistic dog's imagination.
