Review of What's Your Number? (2011) by Joe N — 25 Mar 2014
When they ask, "What's your number?" They don't mean your phone number, Oh no, they mean the number of people you have slept with and Ally Darling, (played by Anna Faris) her number doubles the average (according to an article she read the average is 10 and she's slept with 20) Of course being totally oblivious, she just assumes the average is low.
But eventually finds out that the average is not low, her number is just abnormally high. Anna Faris and Chris Evans are great in this. The movie itself has some really funny moments but it's kinds predictable.
The part that really annoyed me is how Feris's Character is absolutely oblivious to the fact that the number of men she's slept with is abnormally high, Colin Shea (Played by Chris Evans) is her next door neighbor (who has also slept with a lot of different people from the opposite sex) helps her locate the 20 men that she's slept with in the past as Faris thinks that one of them has got be the one for her.
The simple reason she doesn't just go for Evans is simply because he would mark the 21st man she's slept with and she doesn't want to go over 20. And the reason she doesn't want to go over 20 is because she heard that if a girl sleeps with more than 20 men and doesn't marry any of them, will never get married.
As predictable and as stupid as it may seem at times, it did make me laugh at some parts, and it's kind of interesting and fitting how things work out in the end in this movies own sort of way.
