Review of What's Up, Doc? (1972) by Katharine F — 18 Sep 2007
This part remake, part homage to a screwball comedic gem ("Bringing Up Baby" (1938)) becomes another screwball comedic gem. Streisand is brilliantly wacky, Ryan O'Neal plays against type as an absent-minded professor, and Madeline Kahn almost steals the show.
The dialogue is so good that if you try to quote a bit of it, you end up quoting half the film.
