Review of What's Up, Doc? (1950) by David Z — 10 Nov 2008
Barbara Streisand proves again what a master of a comedian she is (shame that she's let that image slip in the latter half of her career.) Everyone really shines here. Particularly Madeline Kahn in her first big role (really, Madeline? You didn't enter the world until 1972?!) If the snappy dialogue is more entertaining than the plot.
..oh, well! The dialogue is quite fun. And the performances are simply hysterical.
