Review of What's Up, Doc? (1950) by Stephen M — 22 Mar 2008
Easily one of the funniest movies I've ever seen. Bogdanovich's throwback to the Grant/Hepburn screwball comedies is perfectly portrayed if not better than its influences. Streisand and O'Neill make for a solid comedic duo, but the scene-stealing Madeline Kahn is most enjoyable.
The gags are priceless, the witty dialogue endless, and you'll be breathless by the time the credits roll. So gather some friends and kick back with this riotously funny film, just keep your hands off their igneous rocks.
