I also read the book to this before seeing the movie. Since reading Tina's book I have also read Ronnie Spector's "Be My Baby." This kind of treatment comes from women not feeling ggod about themselves and men who prey on that type because of their issues of control.
It should be required for all abused women to read these books and view these films. Angela Basset is one of my fvorite actresses and she puts her heart into this film. She got into shape to do some of those "Tina Turner Moves"!
