First things first. I absolutely CANNOT watch domestic violence depicted on film (or in real life, for that matter). It just freaks me out. YET, for some strange reason, when this movie is on, I can never take my eyes off it! It's a very compelling and powerful story about the life and career of Tina Turner that, while unflinching in its occasional violence, will have you rooting all the way for Tina by films end.

A great film, though at certain points is quite hard to watch. 4 out of 5 stars!
