Gilbert Grape hates his life. He hates where he is, he hates his family (including an obese mother and a handicapped brother) and he's miserable, but then comes a very special girl into town and his life totally changes.
I've had the great fortune to read the book and the mvoie is just like it. It stays true to a certain sort of feeling that lasts through both novel and film.
This film's so good, absolutely awesome. I stay amazed at how good both Johnny Depp and Leonardo Dicaprio are.
