If you make the immediate comparison of this film to any of Woody Allen's other films than it doesn't quite stack up. Put that aside and you have a pretty entertaining movie. Larry David's Boris Yellnikoff is as blunt as can be and has the insight to know how deeply people can be affected by their environment.
Although I was a little uncomfortable by the initial relationship between Boris and Melodie..it all works out in the end. Not the worst film I saw in 2009.
