Review of Whatever Works (2009) by Ezras H — 08 Jun 2010
This is my first viewing of a Woody Allen film, and so far, so good. I enjoyed this film a lot. Not only does Larry David add some much needed humor to the film, but he also adds some depth to a character that could've easily been a cliché.
I really enjoyed the film as a drama as well as the comedic side. It is a very emotional film at the end, but extremely funny at the beginning. The only thing is that this film is a little too long. I just wish that it could've been a little bit shorter.
It just does not deserve a rotten rating, because it is a great movie. Well, it's whatever works, and to me, this movie works. Overall, I give Whatever Works a 4 out of 5 (****).
