Review of Whatever Works (2009) by David M — 04 Apr 2010
It was intelligent to a point. I still think that Woody Allen over does things. Like his dialouge. Too much talking makes the characters seem like rambling idiots. Not to mention the lack of music except while it's actually used in the scene.
It had potental but, it pretty much fell short in the end. The breaking of the fourth wall was a little too much and out of context with the rest of the sarcasm and "wit", it just seemed like they were trying with those scenes to try to reach another audience, however those people would have walked out by then anyway.
