Review of Whatever Works (2009) by Kim B — 10 Jun 2010
As I mentioned when I reviewed Firestarter (that half star, remember), I said I maybe had to sit through a Woody Allen movie with my "wife" since she kindly sat through Firestarter with me (note: "wife" loooooves Woody Allen, I simply hate him).
It came close, very close. Woody Allen directed this movie, but didn't actually appear in it. That in itself is worth one star (did I mention I can't stand the guy...?).
Anything to do with Woody Allen combined with Larry David's rather desperate acting (imho, of course) gives me a major headache. Slow down, folks. Oral diarreah is not what I need...
Anyway, one star for for Woody not being in the movie, the second one to be nice to my "wife". And, I have to admit, I actually did chuckle from time to time ;).
