Review of What Would Jesus Buy? (2007) by Mary B — 15 Dec 2007
This movie presents globalization and commercialization from the perspective of a passionate group of artists/activists .
For this group It all started with the Disney-fication of Times Square and takes NYC style street preaching out of the city and into the country.
They expose families, workers, policemen, corporate security forces to the question What would Jesus Buy? Some are aware and choose to ignore it, some have no idea and once they are aware become more conscious of what they purchase. Some people just don't get it.
The film has raised debate on news channels and community web sites. It's a great, topical film for the holiday season.
