One of the funniest romcoms I know. Perfectly combines romance with hilarious moments and satirical touch. Mel Gibson is so unexpectedly good. Just to see him wax his leg while listening to Meredith Brooks' "Bitch" is worth watching the movie.
Actually, for the most part, it's more a comedy in a romantic setting. And that part works very well. Towards the end it gets more into the romance and gets worse, at least imo. The ending is just to much for me.
So while I have watched the movie multiple times, I usually stop after Mel comforts his daughter at the prom.
