There are cheap-looking movies that make that part of their appeal. Then there's What We Do is Secret. An all-around mediocre film, as if they couldn't afford anything better than decent actors, an alright script, etc.

I find that it lacked a certain edge to it; the supposedly punk characters seemed like they were dressed up for halloween, not actually part of the punk scene. Pat Smear, especially, was weak. Still, it's a pretty interesting movie, and a good watch if you've got nothing else better to do.
