Review of What We Do in the Shadows (2014) by Akiko A — 22 Dec 2015
A truly funny documentary style comedy that pokes fun at vampires and other paranormal personalities. An eccentric group of vampires live together in a house having nothing in common. One of them makes a new vampire who has no respect for the lifestyle & secrecy of being a vamp causing drama for all of them.
The movie follows the vampires in their daily lives adapting to the world they live in, while feeding & still trying to fit in. The part where they must pick an outfit for the night was a very funny moment as some of the most inappropriate over the top outfits show how out of touch these guys are.
It makes fun of the whole paranormal genre with a twisted sense of humor that works brilliantly.
