Review of What We Did on Our Holiday (2014) by Andrew M — 19 Jul 2015
While perhaps somewhat predictable in it's tropes, this was genuinely quite funny, which might be somewhat surprising when say the general plot is a dysfunctional family visits their dying grandfather on his 75th birthday.
Connolly is hysterical, Tennant and Pike are wonderful, and the oldest daughter is one of the best young actresses I've seen in a while (up there with the girl from Tomorrowland). I'd quite recommend this if you can get out to see it.
The ending is a bit trite, but there are enough good laughs before that to overcome it.
