Review of What to Expect When You're Expecting (2012) by Alvin H — 21 Sep 2012
I think I expected way too much from this movie. I expected many humor and inside joke, but this movie was a little off. Great casting though, loved it, lots of familiar faces. Just that some supposedly humor lines weren't even that funny.
Ashley Greene's part of her role was sad, but I thought her part was too fast. I wanted to be emotional when watching this movie, like have tears for the right moment, but when something bad happened to Ashley's character, I was just not feeling any sadness.
It was more like confusing. I didn't even really liked Chace Crawford's acting either. He's just a handsome actor, the acting wasn't even that great so it kind of made the movie look off.
There's like no emotion coming from him. I really liked Jennifer Lopez's role though. The one who wants to adopt a Nigerian kid, that was cute and sweet. I was expecting to learn something from pregnancy, but honestly, I didn't learn anything.
Just the fact that it's painful and beautiful at same time. I thought this movie was going to give a lot of advice, but it was just like any other love stories that's taken in the time for pregnancy.
Elizabeth Bank's role was funny though, the cranky pregnant woman, she portrayed it well. And wow Cameron Diaz is good at acting. Her acting was impressive here.
