Beautiful cinematography. good performances. bonus star for a cameo from Jean-Pierre Leaud. great ending sequence. but, maybe i've just seen too many of these gorgeous-looking, minimalist-plot, second/new/whatever wave films from asia recently because I was not engaged with it for the most part.
