Review of What Planet Are You From? (2000) by Dan R — 07 Jun 2009

Not as bad as I was told but not good either. The first half hour is a funny sex farce but when it morphes into a plodding relationship comedy things go downhill quickly. Shandling is surprising good in the lead especially the early scenes where his character is awkward and uncomfortable.

As viewers of "The Larry Sanders Show" can attest these are the two areas where he excels. The rest of the cast is pretty much wasted especially John Goodman and Ben Kingsley.
