Review of What Maisie Knew (2013) by Frank P — 16 Aug 2013
A great film that is emotional and will pull on your heartstrings, whoever you are. This is a great film about what it takes to be a good parent and biology or genetics is not at all required. All it takes is an unselfish spirit that is willing to put your life and your desires behind and put the happiness of the child front and center, plain and simple.
Incredible performance by Onata Aprile as Maisie and great performances by Moore and Coogan but the real standouts are Joanna Vanderham as Margo and Alexander Skarsgard as Lincoln, just great performances.
Also great direction as well, so well done.
