Review of What Lies Beneath (2000) by Amy-Louise F — 25 Jan 2010
A masterpiece. I didn't have too high expectations of this movie, I just thought it would be an ordinary thriller like I've seen before many times, but I was very wrong. Holy shit, this movie is just great!
I doubt if I've seen a better thriller, this story is just so good and interesting!
There are a few unexpected scary moments, it's not a horror, definitely not, but it's a thriller with a lot of spooky scenes in it.
The ending is so good! I love the fact how they used Madisons necklace as a symbol.
This is a very underrated supernatural thriller, such a pity. Michelle Pfeiffer and Harrison Ford are good as always.
Special effects are great also, and it's not predictable at all.
One of my faves for sure!
