Review of What Lies Beneath (2000) by Mirko B — 16 Oct 2008
This film really gave me the chills. Ford was good, but completely overshadowed by Pfeiffer, who was brilliant as the paranoid wife. The lighting design emphasizes the suspense to the verge of pain, and the film leaves you somehow depressed.
The basic message is simple-everybody's happiness is based on somebody else' misery...or death...Totally creepy and absolutely delightful!
