Review of What Lies Beneath (2000) by Anne M — 11 Jan 2012
I have always been a fan of Robert Zemeckis and he has skillfully directed this sometimes boring supernatural thriller. Yes, What Lies Beneath is really slow at times and seems overthought at points but don't let the negative aspects keep you from enjoying it.
Mechelle Pheiffer's performance is outstanding and Harrison Ford is suprisingly good as the villian. There is some nail-biting suspense here that is cleverly constructed. Overall its a good movie, not perfect but thrilling all the same.
