Review of What Lies Beneath (2000) by Eytan D — 06 Apr 2014
Really enjoyed it... it's quite intricate and slow moving at times, but why should every film be fast moving and gripping from first moment to the last in order for it to be rated highly?? Also, what's the point in being totally original for the sake of being original - if you feel like you can add a different spin to a ghost story? I felt there was enough there to keep me watching and wanting to know what happened next, and the ending to me was brilliantly done.
Everyone enjoys something different, and I suppose this is an acquired taste?
