I wanted to enjoy this rather innocent LGBT entry with a promising premise but lost interest rather quickly. Perhaps the casting is bland and Wendie Malick sticks out like a sore thumb reprising a variation of her own Victoria Chase in HOT IN CLEVELAND.

Next to her overly familiar preciously campy character, the leads get lost in the shuffle which is shameful because they are integral to the story; one that attempts to be sensitive and respectful throughout.

But truth be told these are relatively dull men attempting a duller romance in between stilted dialogue, mostly on a park bench, delivered in wooden disbelief. WHAT HAPPENS NEX may have had more life and a better chance on stage.
