Review of What Happens in Vegas (2008) by Paul C — 05 Oct 2010

I will have to say I did enjoy this film more than I thought I would. Besides the lack of a good story, the film does have great characters and some pretty funny scenes. If you watch a comedy and you find yourself laughing alone, then it is a great comedy.

Because lets face it, if you are in a group, you can laugh at anything. For the most part, it did have a great cast. Ashton Kutcher was surprisingly funny. Cameron Diaz was decent. Lake bell was just ok in my book.

Then you have Rob Corddry who was very funny and had the best name in the film; Hater. There were many side characters played by great names. My top three would have to be Dennis Farina, who also had the great name of Banger, Dennis Miller, who was the judge and then Zach Galifianakis, who didn't have many lines, but when he did, it was great.

I will have to give credit to the writers for coming up with some clever character names in this film. So close to being a great comedy. But without a decent story and amazing comedic parts, it just becomes ok.
