Director Tommy Wirkola and writers Max Botkin and Kerry Williamson have perfect and direct message to all of you who think that future comes on the wings of progress - you get nothing less than children holocaust performed by soulless environmentalists and psychopathic scientists dressed in black uniforms.

Who wouldn't look to medieval times as the heydays of (western) civilization, or at least evoke memories on the good old days when the tabaco and oil & coal czars were keeping tabs on the world future, and South American libertarians turning Amazon into parking lot.
