Review of What Ever Happened to Baby Jane? (1962) by Yuriati T — 09 Nov 2009
Bette Davis chews the scenery as an absolutely loathesome, embittered, abusive woman, who is stuck taking care of her paraplegic sister. Tension mounts as their relationship sours, which eventually turns into a game of wits in a struggle for survival. A great, suspenseful film that unfortunately falls apart in the final act.
It's easy to see where Stephen King and Rob Reiner got their inspiration for Misery.
