The extra star is really because of the fact that this film was visually stunning. The amount of imagination it took to conjure up this idea of what heaven may look like was just awesome. The cinematography and scenes in heaven are just gorgeous, with the most vivid, lively colors I've seen in a film in a long time. Their depiction of Hell isn't as horrifying as many of us picture it to be because it re-imagines what Hell is (i.e., not the place described to us in the Bible.) It's imaginative, but if I ever had a hand in imagining what Hell looks like in a movie, it'd be much more scary.

The film itself was just okay. Someone pointed out that the dialogue was often too long, which often drew the scenes out longer than they really needed to be, and I'd have to agree. Sometimes they just needed to shut up, and I occasionally found myself dozing off when the movie slowed down.

It's not a film I'd want to watch straight-through, over and over again. Maybe I can re-watch the clips of Heaven, but other than that, "What Dreams May Come" is really a one-view deal.
