Review of What Dreams May Come (1998) by Dragana D — 23 Apr 2012
An emotional drama dealing with the idea that power of love is a solution in overcoming death as an ending point. Everlasting question of what's after death, the material separation by death, reality and hidden existence as subjects of this movie, make it interesting enough.
In its development the traditional Christian view of Heaven and Hell are gently touched with occult and metaphysical explanation of existence. Still, Hollywood style dramatization seem to brutalize the depth of the subject.
Except the idea that secret lies in our mind, it still leaves us with the impression that delusion is power. As every media on this subject this movie also leaves us bewildered in our quest for truth.
