Review of What Dreams May Come (1998) by Cade H — 12 Jun 2013
What Dreams May Come had some good things about it but the bad things about it were more frequent. The premise was neat and the scenery with the special effects and all was cool but that alone was not enough to make this one a winner.
I like Robin Williams but the character he played in this film was unbelievable and the love and emotion he had with his family was very weak. There was not a connection between him and the lead women and the final scene with them that was supposed to be teary and sad was anything but.
At times it seemed to drag on and add some unnecessary dialogue but like I said before, the world around the characters was visually striking. I think this one could have been better with a different cast because it had some great ideas but they all did not come together that well.
